Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has named Huangdi Mausoleum as the cross-straits exchange base. The base is officially launched during 2015 Qingming public memorial ceremony. It marks the exchanges between Shaanxi and Taiwan entering into a new phase.
Located on top of Qiaoshan Mountain of Huangling County in Shaanxi, Huangdi Mausoleum is the mausoleum of Xuanyuan Huangdi, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. It is the spiritual home of all Chinese people at home and abroad and the national holy land to inherit and promote the Chinese culture.
The cross-Strait exchange base is a platform for the exchange and cooperation between people in Taiwan and on the mainland.. Huangdi Mausoleum, as the cross-straits exchange base, will play a unique role in promoting the peaceful development of the cross-straits relationship and boosting the reunification of the motherland by its cultural resources.
