XI'AN, May 15 -- The death toll of a road accident in northwest China's Shaanxi Province has increased to 35, local authorities said.
The accident happened at 3:27 p.m., when a bus carrying 46 plunged 30 meters into a ravine in Chunhua county, said an official with the county's publicity office.
Twenty five people lost their lives immediately. Others died later despite medical treatment.
Another 11 passengers are being treated in hospitals, five in critical condition.
The bus belonged to the Xiangban trading company in Xi'an, the provincial capital.
