XINING, June 9 -- An official from northwest China's Qinghai Province committed suicide on Tuesday morning, less than one year after he was given a Party warning for "disciplinary violations".
Feng Jianping, former head of Qinghai's provincial sports bureau, jumped to death at around 11 a.m. in a residential district in Xining City, Qinghai's capital. Local police have ruled out the possibility of murder.
Feng, 59, was removed from his post as the bureau head and secretary of the bureau committee of the Communist Party of China in Dec. 2013. He was given a warning in Oct. 2014.
