On July 5th, more than a dozen young adults from China and Japan gathered at Shibuya, one of the most bustling streets in Tokyo. They carried out a campaign called the “Chinese-Japanese friendship hug.” Chinese students studying in Japan sponsored the activities. They held “Chinese-Japanese friendship” signs on the street and hugged passersby in order to demonstrate the everlasting friendship between China and Japan.
