
BEIJING, July 13 -- Ningxia Hui Culture Park recently signed a contract with a Beijing based media company on jointly producing a live performance project titled A Dream Back into Tales from the Thousand and One Nights.
The project is scheduled to debut during the China-Arab States Expo in September, according to Yinchuan Daily.
A blending of the Arabic, Islamic and oriental cultures, the performance will be the world's first to set in a background of the ancient Silk Road.
Experts from the performance industry will jointly producing the performance. In particular, a stage art service provider, one of the producers of the 2013 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, is on the production team, which will bring dazzling stage effect to the audience.
"A Dream Back into Tales from the Thousand and One Nights, which echoes the requirement of the cultural and tourist plan under “Belt and Road” Initiative, acts as the core project of Ningxia Hui Culture Park to develop night tour market. A series of creative interactive leisure time activities are to be launched and will surely contribute to the transformation of Ningxia tourism from sightseeing towards cultural relaxation," director of the park Xia Xiaochuan said.
It is learned that a total of 200 million yuan will be spent on the live performance project.
