
As China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index soared around 80 percent in the first six months of the year, increasing numbers of investors have been trying their fortune on the stock market.
The number of China A-share trading accounts reached 235,975,259 by the end of June, with 225,787,563 still in existence, according to a monthly report issued by China Securities Depository and Clearing Co Ltd.
