84-year-old man Zhang Renpeng has audited courses in Wuhan Institute of Physical Education for 10 years.
“Without the help of teachers and classmates, I would never have finished my study,” said Zhang. Though he hasn’t got a diploma, he is still grateful for the study in the institute.
He was an engineer before retirement and became an associate student of tennis class in the Institute in 2006. Besides, he also audited classes of news photography, French and Japanese. “Zhang Renping has never been late for class,” said one of his classmates.
Unfortunately, Zhang was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, but he didn’t give up his study. Many students around Zhang were encouraged by his spirit and experiences.
Zhang has been serving as an assistant teacher for tennis class after finishing his study in the Institute.
