A Macao policeman suspected of sexually violating at least nine teenage girls through deception and blackmail is awaiting trial, Macao Daily News reported Monday.
The 22-year-old male officer with the Public Security Police (PSP) pretended to be an attractive young female model online in order to exchange nude photos with other young girls. Once he had obtained the images, he extorted the girls for more pictures and even sex.
Macao Judicial Police have discovered that the suspect sexually violated nine teenage girls, with the youngest not even 14 years old. On the suspect's computer, police have also found more than 1,700 nude pictures and video clips of teenagers, of whom more than 160 are local Macao residents. Judicial Police say it is possible there are more victims.
The officer was dismissed from his post with the PSP on May 26 and imprisoned in a local jail while awaiting trial. He is faced with multiple charges, including rape, coercion, sexual extortion, sexually violating children, raping juveniles, and statutory rape.
The case has already entered criminal proceedings. The suspect's previous department in the PSP is also following up with disciplinary action.
