During the fire that broke out in a building in Wuhan on July 29, 2015, fireman Du Qiang found Pan Wen and his 3-year-old son trapped on the 22th floor. Du rescued them out of the fire and gave his gas mask to Pan Wen's son.
On July 31, Pan brought his son to the fire department to express their gratitude to Du Qiang. "The situation was critical. Children’s respiratory organ is fragile, and inhaling a lot of smoke might cause sequela. I didn't have the time to think about myself," said Du.
