Over 20 security guards have used cockroach treatment sprays to force people who live in the basements of a residential area in Beijing to leave, according to the Global Times online.
At 11pm Beijing time on August 9 , these “hired security guards” came to spray the treatment to several basements of the buildings in the Wangjingxiyuan residential area, ordering the residents there to move within ten days.
Some senior residents have complained that the smoke from the spray made them feel very uncomfortable. Next day, they reported to the administration office of the residential area, who answered “ they were just implementing orders from the top”.
