Despite surprising odds of 11 billion to one, a Chinese woman surnamed Yan living in Xi’an, Shaanxi province cracked open an egg to find four yolks inside when she cooked dinner for the family, reported hsw.cn.
According to Yan, the egg did not show any sign of extra-ordinariness before it was cracked, as it has the similar size and weights of a normal egg. After Yan cracked the egg she found out that each of the yolks is smaller than normal ones, more like the size of the yolk of a quail egg.
Yan said that she could not bear eating the quadruple-yolk. After all it is a very rare phenomenon indeed.
