On Sept. 3, China will hold a military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
Li Shengquan, Director of Political Department in National Defense University, said the military parade only displays Chinese military's resolution to protect the nation and its people.
The series of activities are not aimed at planting hatred among the peace-loving people against their past foes, but to remind the whole world to be vigilant over any factors that may threaten world peace. It will help remind all kind-hearted people to pursue peace, make them work together to prevent a repetition of the historical tragedy and safeguard the outcomes of World War II in pursuit of a better future of all human beings.
Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, as an important component of the World Anti-Fascist War, helped build confidence among the Allies and the Chinese people made huge sacrifice for this. Therefore China's military parade, as one of the activities to mark the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War, should be cherished by all peace-loving people across the world.
