China's national aircraft manufacturer has signed a letter of intent with French company MBD on technical support for the brake control system of the Modern Ark 700 (MA 700) plane on August 25, which marks cooperation between both sides entered a substantive cooperation.
Xi’an Aircraft Brake Technology, the subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC), announced this during the ongoing MAKS Air Show, Zhukovsky town, Moscow, which opened on Aug. 25.
The MA-700 is a next-generation regional airliner that is under development by AVIC, aiming to use the advanced aircraft to replace the MA-60 and others that date to the 1990s.
The plane will make its maiden flight in 2017 and is set to be delivered to buyers in 2019. The 86-passenger aircraft will have a top flight range of 2,700 km and a maximum cruise speed of 637 k/ph.
