BEIJING, Sept. 4 -- China and Ethiopia vowed to further promote their cooperation in areas including infrastructure construction, energy and agriculture on Friday.
After meeting between Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn at the Great Hall of the People, the two countries signed five cooperation deals on technologies, electric power, finance, energy and aviation.
Li said Ethiopia is a priority partner for China. China is ready to strengthen cooperation in such areas as infrastructure construction, human resource development, construction of industrial parks, integrated development of energy resources from upstream to downstream, and investment and financing, which will also help Ethiopia's industrialization and national development.
He said China firmly supports Ethiopia's efforts to promote economic development and improve people's livelihood, and will continue to provide assistance.
Hailemariam echoed Li saying Ethiopia is glad to be a partner of China's capacity cooperation and will be active in it. He said Ethiopia will improve its investment environment and welcome more Chinese companies to invest and participate in local projects of infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and industrial parks.
