In the Gold Paint Wood Carving Art Museum in Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang province, craftsmen spent 3 years making a world-renowned Wangong Sedan, which adopts the mortise and tenon joint structure without a single nail for connection.
The Gold Paint Wood Carving Art Museum is a private museum solely funded by Chen Gaihong, a master of gold paint wood carving. Covering an area of 3,800 square meters, the museum displays over 1,500 pieces of fine wood carving works.
The gorgeous Wangong Sedan is placed in the center of the Sedan Hall of the museum. 2 meters long, 1 meter wide, 2.8 meters high, and about 200 kilograms in weight, the sedan needs 8 people to lift. It took a dozen craftsmen three years to make it.
