
BEIJING, Sept. 15 -- The State Council, China's cabinet, announced a reshuffle of some senior government officials on Tuesday.
Liu Jianchao was named deputy head of the National Bureau of Corruption Prevention. He was removed from his post as assistant minister of Foreign Affairs.
Li Chao, who was deputy head of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, became vice chairperson of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, while Zhuang Xinyi was removed from the post.
The State Council appointed Zhang Kejian deputy head of State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense.
Yang Dongliang was removed from his post as director of the State Administration of Work Safety.
The State Council named Liu Cangli head of China Academy of Engineering Physics while removing Zhao Xiangeng from the post. Hang Yihong, deputy head of the academy, was also removed from the post.
