A total of 210,000 yuan cash was incinerated with the body of a senior man in east China's Jiangsu province.
The man surnamed Tao died in his own house after the Spring Festival in 2015.
According to local customs, married adult offspring should live separately with their parents. Therefore, Tao left his children to live in a rent in suburb and made a living by picking up wastes.
However, Tao's health condition kept worsening. Tao went back home before the Spring Festival, hoping his sons and daughters-in-law would take care of him.
Out of Tao's expectation, his two sons were reluctant to let him live with them.
Tao finally died in his own home after the Spring Festival. Before death, he withdrew all his deposit of 210,000 yuan.
