The Jiangxi provincial institute of archaeology releases the phased achievements on the archaeological study of the royal tombs of Marquis of Haihun State during West Han Dynasty (206 B.C.--25 A.D.) Wednesday. Experts believe the tombs are of great value and the archaeological excavation yields great achievements.
The tombs date back to over 2,000 years ago, in Nanchang, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province.
The experts considered them as the best-preserved royal tombs of the West Han Dynasty ever discovered in China. They have the most complete structure, the clearest layout as well as the most complete ritual system by far.
The excavation shows the construction base of ancestral temple, bedrooms, wings which center the tomb of Marquis of Haihun.
More than 10,000 objects have been unearthed which represents The Royal Family’s home life during West Han dynasty.
