
President ?XiJinping? and First Lady Peng Liyuan attended the grand welcome dinner jointly hosted by General Secretary of the Communist Party of ??Vietnam? (CPV) Central Committee, Nguyen Phu Trong, and President of Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang, in the International Conference Center in Hanoi, Vietnam, November 5, 2015. Xi Jinping and Nguyen Phu Trong respectively addressed the attendees during the dinner.
Xi pointed out in his speech that China deeply appreciates the kindness and friendship Vietnamese people hold toward Chinese people.
Both China and Vietnam should stick to the leadership of Communist Party and the path of socialism, Xi said, adding that cooperation is in accordance with the fundamental interests of people in both countries. He emphasized that China is willing to work with Vietnam in the spirit of good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners, and to promote Sino-Vietnam ties into a comprehensive strategic partnership.
Nguyen said that President Xi’s visit gives new impetus to the Sino-Vietnam relationship, and that both sides should promote the bilateral ties into long-term, healthy, and stable development.
