The U.S. navy hosted sporting events with the visiting Chinese naval Escort Task Group 152 at the Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida, on Thursday.
Crew members from both sides played basketball, football as well as tug-of-war friendly competitions together.
After the games, the U.S. navy also held a picnic for the 250 Chinese crew members.
This move helps further strengthen the exchange and cooperation between the Chinese and U.S. navies and lays a solid foundation for the two sides to build a harmonious ocean and world, said commander of the Chinese fleet Wang Jianxun.
