Hong Wei, who lives in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi province, is a super fan of Chinese Han clothing. Like many other persons, he loves Chinese history and culture. But different from others, 45-year-old Hong Wei only accepts the ancient life style and he has been wearing ancient costumes for over twenty years.
When the special train of the Silk Road was put into service in Xi'an, Hong Wei experienced the journey and felt himself in harmony with the ancient decoration styles in the train.
"Look, this man has the similar hat, clothes, beard and appearance with me. Living in modern society with Chinese Han clothing always gives some visual impact to the public and sparks widespread comments. I am fascinated by traditional culture, so I do not care about other people's judgments," said Hong, pointing to the photo on the wall of the train.
Hong devoted himself entirely to advocating Chinese traditional culture. He opens one old-style private school and teaches children Confucianism and calligraphy every day.
