The Gongchen Bridge was originally built in 1631, then rebuilt in the 1880s. It is 98 meters long and reaches a height of 16 meters above the canal. The area around the bridge was originally an industrial area, but fell into decline in the 1990s. It has now been rejuvenated as a cultural quarter with museums and artists' studios, and is popular with tourists. (Photo/Zjol.com.cn)
