12 performers performed traditional Dian Opera on the third floor of a vegetable market in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan province on Nov. 17, 2015. The local seniors formed an opera troupe nine years ago and they have performed in this market since then. Each performer can earn 8 to 20 yuan a day. Over 30 people come to see their performance every day. However, the ticket price of 6 yuan cannot support the regular performance of this troupe. Gao Qinying, the man in charge of the group, said that Dian Opera is dying because few young people have interest in this art.
