Data show that in 2015, the number of foreigners who enter into Beijing under the policy of "72 hours transit without visa (TWOV)" will reach 1.8 million, bringing an increase of nearly 1.8 billion dollars in the revenue in tourism sector.

On July 1, 2015, Beijing took the lead in offering the policy of tax refunds on purchases made by overseas visitors.

As of Nov. 11, 2015, the number of one-time purchases of more than 100,000 yuan that has enjoyed the benefit of the tax refund program has reached 11, among which the highest purchase amount is nearly 900,000 yuan.

In addition, Beijing municipal government has held the Beijing International Tourism Expo, Beijing International Tourism Festival and other events to help build the image of Beijing and promote Beijing's tourist attractions abroad.
