
A brick kiln dating back to Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907) was found in Fuping county in northwest China's Shaanxi province recently. According to the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, the brick kiln might be built to repair the tomb of Emperor Zhongzong damaged in fire more than 1,000 years ago. A large number of fingerprints bricks were also unearthed. (Photo provided to CNS)
