
At the end of January, White Yuen Temple Forest Park, as approved by State Forestry Administration, succeeded in shifting to national status from provincial status.
White Yuen Temple National Forest Park is located in the northeast of Zaoyang, 45 kilometers away from Zaoyang downtown, with access to channels linking Hubei and Henan. Occupying an area of 43,900 mu, the park now has Bamboo Garden and Buddhist Temple Scenic Area, Niuxin Temple Recreation Area, Forest Bathing Area, etc. The park boasts more than 30 scenic spots, such as White Yuen Temple, Butterfly Stone, and Forest of Dagobas, as well as 2 reservoirs and 8 grand canyons.
