After Yu gave birth to her first child, her biological mother came to Beijing to take care of Yu and the child while her own father had to go to work in her hometown. Therefore, Yu's family used to return to her hometown for family reunion during previous Spring Festival holidays.
However, when Yu had her second child, she found that it was difficult for them to spare hands to look after the two children. To assist Yu, Yu's mother-in-law came to Beijing for help from east China's Shandong province.
