Yuanyang County is renowned for its rice terraces, which claim as the world's largest and most spectacular one. The terraces here are crafted out by bare hands of the Hani people about 1,300 years ago and is still in use today. Yuanyang rice terraces are the 45th World Heritage Site in China.
