
BEIJING, March 5 (People’s Daily) – China sets an average annual economic growth of above 6.5 percent from 2016 to 2020, according to the draft outline of the 13th Five-Year Plan on national economy and social development unveiled on Saturday.
The draft said China's gross domestic product will exceed 90 trillion yuan (13.8 trillion U.S. dollars) in 2020, compared with 67.7 trillion yuan (10.4 trillion dollars) in 2015. The draft will be submitted to the annual session of the National People's Congress for review.
China will prioritize stable economic growth, with an annual gross domestic product growth target between 6.5 to 7 percent this year, based on the government work report.
