From March 19 to 21, intense rainfalls hit the northern and eastern areas of southern China's Guangdong province, as well as the Pearl River Delta area. Weather forecast says that the downpour will be continuing to March 23. The major meteorological disaster emergency office of Guangdong has upgraded a Grade IV emergency response to a Grade III response.
