The final of a beauty contest for mid-aged women, organized by China National Radio’s TV shopping channel, kicked off last Sunday night in Shanghai, China’s modern fashion capital. After days of selection and training since late April, thirty-one candidates out of ten thousand were able to go on stage to show the world the grace and charm of Chinese housewives.

Mothers at an average age of over 50 years-old, these finalists from various jobs –lawyers, workers, managers, entrepreneurs, etc., were able to show, each in their own way, the sexy , graceful and elegant style of mature women in Shanghai.

Entitled "China Hot Mom Show", this activity is the continuance of four previous competitions in Chinese cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing and Nanjing. Orchestrated by an international team, this event has enabled Chinese mommies to express their charm and redefine the beauty of mature Chinese women.
