3-year-old Xiaoya lives in Cixi city, in east China’s Zhejiang province. On the evening of May 24, he was sent to his grandmother’s home. His grandmother was busy preparing dinner and had no time to look after him. When she finished cooking, she found that Xiaoya had disappeared. She called Xiaoya’s parents at once.
The whole family, together with neighbors, searched for the child until it was dark. “What if he was abducted?” his mother was choked by her sobs.
A neighbor suddenly realized that Wangwang, a white dog that used to play with Xiaoya, had disappeared too.
Suddenly, they heard barks from far away. Following the sound, they walked almost 1.5 kilometers, and then they saw the tiny figure of Xiaoya.
Mother rushed to her son and held him tightly. Wangwang was right beside the boy.
According to Xiaoya, he ran away from home when his grandmother was cooking and got lost. Fortunately, Wangwang escorted the child all through and helped the family to find him thanks to his barking voice.
