On May 24, a technical worker was spraying insecticide on an ancient gingko tree aged over 800 at Guanshan Forest Farm, Baokang County, Xiangyang.
Baokang is a mountainous county with a forest coverage rate of 79.3 percent. There are up to 3,771 old trees aged over 100 in this county. The county forestry department preserves them.
