On May 4, 2016, Xiangyang announced that it would spend RMB750,000 on 6 major public sports service projects, which includes citywide sports competition for the three ball games of soccer, basketball, and volleyball, 10 citywide sports competitions or large-scale demonstration events, training of the second-level social sports instructors, monitoring the city residents' physique, “health Xiangyang” -bringing sports to communities and training events, training in fitness qigong and organizing related competitions respectively.
Any sports social organization registering and filing with the municipal city, or authorized by the State Council to dispense with the registration process and enterprises or institutions that meets the specified conditions may apply for permission to undertake these projects.
