The municipal government of Xiangyang has decided to step up its effort to purchase auditing services from all available society sources by hiring 50 society intermediaries publicly for the first time to set up a pool of society intermediaries.
At present, the government has already authorized three of its agencies, namely the Municipal Administrative Examination & Approval Bureau, the Municipal Auditing Bureau, and the Municipal Finance Bureau, to jointly devise and unveil relevant management method and recruitment exercise scheme so that it may create the pool of society intermediaries for auditing its investment projects. All the society intermediaries that are hired will randomly get directly involved in such government-financed projects by doing such things as tracking their progress and settling project-related accounts, including final ones. As demand grows in the future for auditing services for government investment projects, including special projects such as very large, oddly-shaped, and pseudo-classic structures, the pool will gradually increase in size by absorbing more society intermediaries.
