
BEIJING, June 30, 2016 (Xinhua) -- Combined photo taken in October of 2009 (L) and 2009 shows Yang Shanzhou, who was born in 1927 and served as the former Party chief of Baoshan City of Yunnan Province in southwest China. After retirement, joined by his family and local people, Yang spent more than 20 years cultivating a tree farm which eventually had a forest coverage reaching 3,733 hectares. In April 2009 Yang donated the tree farm to the government. Yang died of illness in October 2010. This year marks the 95th birthday of the Communist Party of China (CPC). (Xinhua) (wyl)
