
Johannesburg July 8 (People's Daily Online) - Sino-South Africa Business & Journalism Seminar was held on Friday at the China Construction Bank Building in Sandton, Johannesburg.
The groundbreaking inaugural event brought Chinese business people in SA and local journalists together for a frank and open discussion and an opportunity to enhance mutual understanding.
The Seminar was attended by senior management of Chinese firms in Johannesburg. Among these firms were Huawei Mobile, ZTE, Sinosteel, FAW, Hisense, CRI-Eagle, CRRC, ICBC, CCB and Union Pay.
SA journalists from Mail & Guardian, eNCAnews, Kaya FM and Business Report talked about obstacles occurred when they tried to approach Chinese companies for their stories. Participants from the both sides frankly discussed issues affecting relations between Chinese companies and the local media.
