Tsring Dekyi is a steersman of Tibetan ethnic group on Frigate Jingzhou. She joined the navy in September of 2014. She and Dawa Yangchen, another female steersman, are both from Tibet. They were in the first batch of female soldiers the navy enrolled from the province. During the 3km race, the two girls outperformed quite a few male fellows. [Mod.gov.cn]
