
Jointly put on by the Rescue Bureau of China's Ministry of Transport, the South Sea Rescue Bureau, the Guangzhou Rescue Bureau and the First Relief Flight Team of the South China Sea, an integrated rescue drill was recently held in the waters just off of Sanya's Phoenix Island, in Southern China's Hainan province. Eight professional rescue vessels, two helicopters, one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and hundreds of rescuers practiced surface rescues, maritime firefighting and maritime towing.
