Well, the news that the Palace Museum in Beijing is making coats for dogs is real and the coats have been put on display during an innovation competition.
According to the head of the Palace Museum Shan Jixiang, "There are not only cats but also dogs in the Palace Museum, they deserve better respect by us and they should be dressed as being naked is not good."
He adds that the dog coats were made by replicating drawings made by artists in the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912), a time when dogs were held in great esteem by the governors.
He hopes the dog coats will attract attention and will lead people to discover other innovative products at the Palace Museum.
