
China National Genebank (CNGB), a gene bank located in the southern city of Shenzhen, will open on Sept. 22. Approved by the National Development and Reform Committee in 2011, CNGB is devoted to the comprehensive collection of biological resources and bioinformatics data in China. Operation of the gene bank depends on collaboration between universities, hospitals and scientific institutions that share an interest in resource utilization and bioinformatics.
