Fine quality, highly breathable and environmentally friendly coarse cloth has won customers in recent years, spurring business opportunities for rural women in China. Pingxiang county of Xingtai city in North China’s Hebei province is one of the counties that have cherished a long tradition of making coarse cloth. In recent years, many women have been engaged in its production. Now the county has formed an industrial chain of making coarse cloth, helping women find a job at their doorsteps.
