On Jan. 12, two tourists experienced a heart-pounding encounter with a Bengal tiger in Chongqing municipality. As the visitors drove through the confines of a tourist zone, a tiger suddenly jumped onto the hood of their car and gazed at them through the windshield. The tiger appeared to be peaceful rather than hostile. The passenger in the front seat managed to record the rare sight with his smartphone before the tiger was shepherded away by staff.
