A press conference on the 5th session of the 12th CPPCC National Committee was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 2. One journalist in attendance has drawn attention for using multi-channel live Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) equipment.
The so-called iron man equipment is a brand new media coverage tool from Guangming Online. It allows journalists to collect and publish information on site and offer live-streaming coverage. It also records and stores panoramic and virtual reality (VR) images.
The equipment is capable of simultaneously providing 3K frame, 4M streaming videos and VR signals to 15 different platforms. Viewers can watch HD VR live-streaming broadcasts with their naked eyes, accessing the footage through mobile phones. There is no need to install any special software. At the same time, unique multi-platform cloud technology makes it convenient for netizens to watch, share and participate in VR live-streaming interactions via popular social media platforms like WeChat.
