Promoting 300 million people attending winter sports is a big step of Chinese national fitness program. Southwest China's Yunnan Province integrates winter sports, public fitness program and ecotourism and encourages social entrepreneurs to invest in ice rinks and ski resorts. At present, Yunnan has 3 ice rinks and 3 more are under construction. Yunnan's Qujing is planning on building a training center of winter sports. Some ski resorts and ice and snow theme parks will be built in towns like Tengchong and Shilin. In Yunnan, nearly 1500 people keep participating in ice sports. (Xinhua/Lin Yiguang)
