
The annual torch festival is simultaneously held on July 17 in three villages in the city of Xichang in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Some 210,000 trips were made for the festival, which is a traditional cultural event for several ethnic minority groups, including Yi, Bai, and Naxi.
