The 26th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting is scheduled to be held from Nov. 17-18 in Port Moresby, capital of Papua New Guina (PNG). National flags of both China and Papua New Guinea have been placed on each side of the Chinese-constructed Independence Boulevard. As part of the Chinese government's international aid program, the 300-meter corridor cost around 12 million U.S. dollars and will feature a six-lane road, two five meter-wide footpaths, street lights, path lights, three traffic lights and five nature parks all running from Waigani to Parliament House.
