The upper part of this combo photo taken in 1991 shows six-year-old Bai Yang posing with a cupboard and a TV set in her home in Kaifeng, central China's Henan Province. The cupboard in the photo was regarded as decent furniture at that time and the 24-inch color TV cost her father one-year income. The lower part of the combo photo taken by Luo Xiaoguang on Nov. 28, 2018 shows 33-year-old Bai and her son posing for a photo in her home in Beijing, capital of China. Bai, who is now a graphic designer, has a bigger apartment, enough to allow her two kids to freely play. The 60-inch TV only cost her one-month salary. (Xinhua)
