Photos taken in southwest China’s Chongqing on Jan. 2 show workers from the Chongqing locomotive depot of China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd conducting a “physical examination” on over 200 locomotives to confirm quality standards for the upcoming travel rush during Spring Festival, otherwise known as the 2019 Chinese New Year, which this year falls on Feb. 5. The inspection focused on such aspects as the roof, braking system, running gears, and power supply system of all the electric and diesel locomotives in the Chongqing locomotive depot.
