Wang, having 20-year work experiences, is responsible for shunting operation for bullet trains at the maintenance station of Hefei South Railway Station. Wang and his colleagues are called "snails", as the bullet trains are allowed to run at maximum 30 kilometers per hour for shunting operation, much slower than the trains under normal circumstances.
